We had booked in May for the end of September, and the early booking got us a good price. Then yesterday our booking platform said the accommodation was going to cancel, without giving a reason. We can guess why. It was canceled today, just a few days before we were due to arrive. We messaged the accommodation and got no reply. We hadn’t even stayed there, but the cancellation left us stranded after booking months in advance. Prices for places to stay are now very high, which has made our Rome trip complicated. It’s disgraceful, and after this I wouldn’t risk booking there under any circumstances.

An experience to forget. We called the manager to tell them when we’d arrive, and only then were told the room was no longer available. If we hadn’t called, we would have turned up at the B&B and found nobody. Imagine having to look for somewhere to stay in Rome on the day of the mengoni concert.

Mr. Alfio made our weekend feel like home. He’s a wonderful person, kind, thoughtful, helpful, and a man from another era. His advice was invaluable. The room was small but comfortable, with an ensuite bathroom, and breakfast had plenty of variety. The croissants were especially delicious. The location is excellent, close to St. Peter's and a 900-meter walk from Ottaviano metro station, which gets you around quickly. Buses are nearby too, though the waits are often long.

They canceled our reservation just a week before the trip, even though we’d booked five months ahead. They don’t reply to emails or messages. NOT RECOMMENDED. It looks like canceling as the date gets close is their usual way of raising prices and securing bookings. Scammers.
