B&B Alba Domus Roma

You need to get in touch before you arrive, since nobody is stationed at the property. The rooms are small spaces made from converted apartments, with a decent bathroom and a little balcony. It was comfortable, though I thought the price was high for what you get. Its location works well for airport trips and exploring Rome, with Tiburtina Station and the Metro about a five-minute walk away.

Our room and bathroom were both spacious, and breakfast was brought right to the room at the time we asked for. It was a typical Italian breakfast, with thoughtful touches for the kids, and a crib was already set up when we arrived. The host was accommodating when I had to change our check-in time three separate times. I’d read some poor reviews and took a chance, but we had a very pleasant stay. Tiburtina station is about a four-minute walk away.

Rhine, the operator, was friendly and very helpful, and his instructions were clear. The bald doorman, though, was rude, often raising his voice and shouting. The cleaning staff weren’t helpful either. The coffee machine didn’t work, and the room was missing everyday essentials.

We were given useful information about places to see in Rome, and the staff were professional and available throughout our stay. The room itself was tidy, clean, and welcoming. It was good value, and the location worked well for us because we traveled by train and could get to Tiburtina station easily. We’ll come back if we need somewhere to stay on another visit to Rome.
