A Casa di Pe' Casa Vacanze

Our host kept checking that everything was just right and talked us through getting around Rome. He also gave us some great restaurant tips. I hope I can come back soon.

There were six of us, two adults and four teens, and we had separate rooms with a bed for each person. Pino was helpful and easy to ask for tips on places to visit or eat, or simple things like extra towels or a bed. The place is simple, but it had enough space to relax and the basics a small group needs for sleeping and staying comfortably. Bus stops and train stations are within a 15-minute walk or less. Everything worked except the ceiling fan switch, which needed pliers to turn. Mosquitoes could be a nuisance in the garden, though that's outside the owner's control. Good value for the money, and functional.

We spent a few meals on the patio and loved the beautiful weather. There was a banana grove out back, which I really enjoyed. The apartment was exactly as advertised, and quiet, clean, and comfortable. Our time in Rome was fabulous, and this place suited us perfectly. Pino communicated well and had lots of suggestions for places to eat and visit. He also helped us figure out the local buses, Metro, and trains, which were easy to use.

The coffee grounds provided for making coffee were delicious, and the place had everything we needed. We got around everywhere by public transport, which was super easy. There are some fantastic restaurants nearby, including one Pino's daughter suggested, where we ate after touring the city each day. Pino was a great host. Since we visited during Holy Week, he gave us a thoughtful traditional chocolate egg.
