Hotel Le Petit

Our room wasn't ready until 30 minutes after check-in, and the junior suite was quite small despite how large it looked in the listing and photos. The elevator had limited capacity, which made handling luggage inconvenient, and the TV remote didn't work during our stay. I accidentally paid for the same room twice through different sites. When I asked the hotel to help with the mistake, they refused a refund. They referred me to the manager, but he couldn't be found until a day later, after I asked again. The whole experience fell short of what we expected, and we wouldn't stay again.

We stayed with my girlfriend from March 1 to March 2 and accidentally booked twice through two different vendors. The error was ours, and as soon as we noticed, we contacted the hotel to cancel one of the last-minute reservations. We never asked for a free room. We only wanted to cancel the duplicate booking and were ready to pay for the stay we actually used. I want to correct several inaccuracies in management's reply to our earlier comment. We asked multiple times to speak with the manager. First, we were told to wait two hours, then that we would get a phone call, but neither happened. After our third request, the manager knocked and entered our room without warning. We did discuss it, but that wasn't an appropriate setting for the conversation. We and the manager agreed that he would try to refund the duplicate reservation, though he said it might take some time to process. He also offered us another night, but we had to leave the city that evening and couldn't accept. At checkout, we didn't go over everything again; we politely agreed to stay in touch the following week to settle the issue. It was an unfortunate problem caused by our own mistake, which we fully accept. Still, how a hotel handles unexpected guest issues matters, as well as how things go when all is smooth. We expect management to follow through on staying in contact and resolving this professionally.

The staff were the most friendly and helpful we've encountered anywhere we've stayed. Our room was clean, the bed comfortable, and having a balcony was a nice touch for our short visit. We were only there for one night before heading to the airport. The hotel is a ten-minute walk from the main train station, with lots of restaurants nearby. Some music sounded quite loud at first, but it stopped at 10:30, so it was fine.

The reception team were friendly, easy to approach, and helpful beyond their usual duties. They suggested places to visit and, after checkout, offered to store our luggage and let us use the bathroom until it was time to leave for the airport. The room was on the small side, but clean, functional, and comfortable enough. The location made it easy to explore the city. I had a very positive stay and would strongly recommend the hotel for its service and convenience.
