That old elevator is pretty cool, and the man at reception let us check in early. Those were the good parts. The rest was a rough stay. The room was tiny, the heat didn't work, and what looked like wallpaper was actually stained, dirty fabric from the 90s. There was no Wi-Fi in the room, and the bathroom smelled like a NYC sewer. We could smell it as soon as we walked in, then again from our own bathroom while trying to sleep. The shower was cold unless you got up by 5 am. I assumed breakfast came with our room, but it didn't. At €15 each, it was a waste of money. The eggs were gray and the juice was basically water. I could only manage a piece of toast with jam, then had to go out and find something else to eat. If breakfast isn't included, walk a block for decent coffee and a pastry instead.

The staff were friendly and very helpful, which was the one good part. But there was no hot water for two days over New Year's Eve, and that's unacceptable. Nearby hotels offered the same quality for half the price. The whole experience was worth just one star.

Breakfast was mediocre, and our final night was soured by one staff member who wouldn't help us or even give us information about breakfast, and was unwilling to serve us at the bar. The rest of the stay was good. This was our second time at this lovely hotel.

We enjoyed our stay. The hotel is small but nice, with lots of restaurants nearby and close to Termini and other places. Our room on the top floor was clean and newly remodeled. The front desk staff were friendly, and the old elevator looks cool.

Our room was clean, bright, quiet, and had a newer, modern refurbishment. The corridors echo a bit, so light sleepers might want an eye mask and earplugs. Housekeeping kept the room clean, and the cleaning staff were friendly. Breakfast was the usual selection of meats, cheese, cereal, pancakes, juice, coffee, and tea. The staff there were lovely too. Reception was friendly and helpful, and we got a drinks voucher when we arrived. Wi-Fi was patchy, as other reviews have mentioned, so you may want your own data plan. Thanks for a lovely stay.
