Little Rose Lodge

The hotel itself was lovely, and we had no problems there. The trouble was the breakfast bar right outside the entrance, where we ate during our five-day stay. At first breakfast was coffee, a pastry, and juice. The white-haired owner was unfriendly and impertinent, treated customers poorly, and wouldn’t even answer when we said hello or goodbye. My wife doesn’t drink coffee, and the owner wanted to charge us an extra 3 euros to swap her cappuccino or coffee for milk with cocoa from a sachet. He only mentioned the extra charge on the last and second-to-last days. Why was it possible to swap coffee for cocoa milk from the first through third days, but not later? On our last day I drank both coffees and gave my wife both juices. I was determined not to go back, and wanted to write this so others know what they may face. I wouldn’t rule out returning to the hotel, but I’d find a way to have breakfast without seeing that white-haired man again.
