Luxury Nomentano

A very nice place, clean and safe.

The location is convenient and quiet, so this could suit someone who's not too demanding. But I found the lighting almost nonexistent, despite the rooms looking bright in the photos. At night it's mostly colored LEDs and soft lights, with very few proper fixtures. The main chandelier was dusty all over, and its ring shaped frame reached almost to the bed. Some parts of the bathroom were extremely dirty, though it was reasonably clean otherwise. The mirrors are in useless spots, and the bathroom mirror is both unlit and much too high.

The bed was comfortable and the pillows let us sleep well. Beyond that, my family's three-night stay was disappointing. The one good thing besides the bed was the quiet area's convenient location. The city center is about 20-25 minutes away by bus, on route 60 or 90, though traffic noise still came through the windows and walls. The property is on the second floor, reached by stairs or a small elevator. The room was dark compared with the online photos. The soft LED lights were fine, but my room had no chandelier. The bathroom looked nice, but hidden spots had plenty of dust and dirt, and it could use brighter main lighting. The shower had very little hot water and weak pressure. The rooms were poorly soundproofed, too. The desk contract said the room would be tidied every day, but it was never cleaned or tidied while we were there, despite us returning late at night. There were no closed closets or drawers, just shelves, with a few shirts on the bottom one. I had sent about 30% of the bill by bank transfer when booking, but was asked to pay the rest as soon as I arrived. The owner even interrupted a family member's afternoon nap to collect it, after we'd been awake since before 4 AM to catch our flight. The furnishings might appeal at first, but the decor and staff had significant drawbacks. I wouldn't recommend this place. Next time I'll stay somewhere else.

The rooms feel quaint and welcoming, and the staff are friendly and keen to help with what guests need. The pillows, though, are flimsy and uncomfortable enough to ruin your sleep.
