Maison d'art Apartments

We had apartment 4 on the top floor for four nights, and our experience was perfect. The location was absolutely five-star. Nights were really quiet, the room and bed were large and clean, the cleaning lady was very friendly, and the rooftop terrace was awesome. The door uses a code, so there are no keys to pick up. I can't speak for the other apartments or reviews. Just be aware that the stairs are steep, so this won't suit you if stairs are a problem. We'd highly recommend it!

We stayed for nine days and the apartment wasn't cleaned even once. The seats weren't changed, and basics like towels and toilet paper weren't replaced. The stairs are ridiculously steep, and carrying large luggage up them is almost hopeless. Staff were rude on the phone, and nobody even greeted us when we arrived. There's no terrace or balcony despite what the photos suggest. The room is small and comfortable, and the street is loud at night. This feels like a really bad Airbnb, so you may as well stay in an Airbnb. I'm never staying here again.

The room was artfully furnished and in the heart of the city, only a four-minute walk from the Vatican. Unfortunately, we ran into a string of problems. To pay for the room, we had to go to another hotel owned by the same company. The shower wouldn't close properly, the jacuzzi hadn't been cleaned all season, and the terrace seats were nasty from being left out in the rain. Although the room was meant for four people, I wouldn't recommend it even for couples. It was on the fourth floor, and the stairs were very narrow and steep, making it hard to get our luggage up.

A huge scam. The website says breakfast is included, but there was none. On our first night, things were stolen from our room. We tried to get help, but the hotel wouldn't even answer. There are video cameras on every floor, but they don't look into it. You can't cancel your nights, so you end up carrying all your valuables around, which is exhausting. We asked them to cancel, and they said the manager would get back to us, but that never happened. The floor was dirty, the hot shower lasted about ten minutes, and they asked us to send our passports and credit card number by email. Don't go there.
