We were able to check in early, which was a huge relief after 20 hours of flying. Before arriving, we’d asked the owner if we could leave our luggage early, and he agreed, then waited for us when we were running late. The room had a fridge, a large wardrobe with a safe, and a coffee machine with complimentary capsules. There were also some sweets on the bed as a welcome. It was quite dark inside, especially when we were packing, since the window looked onto an inner courtyard. More lighting would help. We spent four nights here in a triple room with one double bed and one single bed. The location was handy, two minutes on foot to Repubblica metro and five minutes to Termini, so getting around and leaving the city was easy. McDonald’s is nearby, with a supermarket two blocks away. The area felt safe all day, near a busy avenue with plenty of shops and pedestrians. The hotel is one of the apartments in an old building. There’s an elevator to the hotel floor, but first you have to carry your bags up a short flight of stairs, as is common in buildings of that age. The room was adequately equipped, quiet, and comfortable for sleeping. We visited in winter and it was well insulated. The linen was clean, and the room was tidied daily. The bathroom was spacious and spotless, and they promptly fixed a leaking shower head the day we reported it to the cleaning lady. The toilet seat did wobble, so we had to balance ourselves when sitting down. Shower gel, shampoo, soap, hand and body towels, and a hairdryer were provided. As other reviews mention, the front desk was usually unattended, so you may need to message the owner with requests. We’d also like to compliment the cleaning lady we saw each morning. She was incredibly friendly, always said hello, and had a big warm smile that brightened our days despite the heavy rain.
