Termini station is only a two-minute walk away, and that location worked brilliantly as a base for sleeping. Check-in was quick, and the staff were friendly whenever we asked questions or wanted restaurant recommendations. There's a vending machine with very reasonable drink prices. The rooms are a little dated and, like most hotels in Rome, the soundproofing isn't great. We didn't try breakfast, so I can't comment on it. As others have said, the area can feel a bit sketchy late at night, but it was fine otherwise. The metro is nearby for the Vatican, and from Termini you can catch a quick direct train to Fiumicino airport, which takes just over 30 minutes. We just got back from a two-night stay and would stay here again if we returned to Rome.

My father had his wallet stolen on his last day in Rome. Someone found it and brought it to Hotel Mariano, with everything inside except the cash, which was expected. Antonio found my sister's business card in the wallet and contacted her, but by then my father had already returned home to Poland. Antonio then mailed the wallet and its contents to him. The people at Hotel Mariano are so kind, especially Antonio. We're grateful and highly recommend staying where such honest, amazing people work.

There are no tea or coffee making stations in the rooms, though breakfast is available. The rooms are ideal, the hotel is central to termini, and there are lots of restaurants around it.

The room was really spacious for two, and one of the cleanest hotel rooms I've ever stayed in. The staff were great, and breakfast was wonderful, with a perfect coffee machine. This three-star hotel has quality and professionalism, and being near termini made our two-day trip a wonderful stay. We'll definitely come back.

The service, staff, and rooms were all great. Breakfast was simple but good. The location is somewhat tucked away in Rome, though there are lots of souvenir shops nearby and it's also close to the train and bus station. We had a good experience :)
