I made a reservation at Hotel Vespasiano several months in advance for a March 2026 stay and received confirmation at the time of booking. Less than one month before arrival, the hotel cancelled my reservation, citing a failed credit card pre-authorization. While the card on file had indeed been replaced, I did not receive any prior notice or opportunity to update the payment details before the cancellation was processed. What is particularly disappointing is that immediately after the cancellation, the same room category for the same dates appeared available on the hotel’s website at a signif

Fantastic hotel, staff are lovely and very accommodating. Breakfast is very good value for the price. Location is perfect, few minutes walk from Vatican City right in the center of Rome. Rooms very clean and cosy, would recommend this place to anyone!

We had a really enjoyable and relaxing stay at Hotel Vespasiano. The two female staff in particular were lovely and friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. The rooms are lovely and clean (we had one each) and most importantly - lovely and cool - you can leave the air con on when you leave your room so it’s the perfect temperature when you return. I think we probably showered 3 times per day it was so hot outside! I LOVE the mood lighting in the showers - such a nice touch. You have everything you want in the room from a little fridge to a TV that plays from a pen drive and the hotel is a stone
