Mary Louise B&B

Our room was small, but comfortable and clean, and it had its own bathroom. Two of the other three rooms share bathrooms. The place also has a little shared living area and a kitchen, and everything was clean and well organized. The Tuscolano neighborhood is a bit out of the way, though the Porta Furba station on the A line is only a few meters away. From there, it took about 20 minutes to reach Termini, 25 to the city center, and under 30 to the Vatican. This was our first B&B stay, since we usually choose hotels or private apartments by the sea, and it worked out fine. The only snag was that we couldn't pay with the card saved on Booking.com. I don't think that was the owners' fault, but Booking.com's. When we're back in Rome, this will be one of our first places to consider.

The room was very nice, with an outside bathroom reserved just for us. Breakfast was very basic, pasta and drinks from the bar opposite, and it can be hard to find a seat there. The metro on Via Tuscolana is very close, with supermarkets and restaurants nearby.

We loved having breakfast across the street, especially the homemade maritozzi and croissants. It was simple, but really good. We spent three nights at this wonderful, spotless B&B. The owners were so welcoming and helpful, and even came back to the property to bring us our luggage, which they let us keep until evening. Everything felt perfect, from the cleanliness to the strategic location. As lovely as Rome itself.

The apartment was clean and smelled fresh, and it was cleaned every three days. It has air conditioning and an outside roller blind on the window. There's a lockable elevator in the building, too. The owner was really helpful, and we enjoyed the Italian breakfasts at the cafe next door. We got them by showing the breakfast package from the owner. We had a very pleasant stay :)
