Mercure Rome Piazza Bologna

The rooms were extremely small, even for two people, and I found the hotel very far from the city centre. The metro nearby made it easy to get around, and the local area itself was pleasant, with good pizza everywhere, excellent gelato, decent street shopping, and local stores. Still, this was the worst hotel of the ones we visited. My experience with Mercure rooms has been that they’re inconsistent and often very small.

As an Accor Platinum member, I’ve received so much thoughtful attention over time that it’s hard for me to stay outside this hotel chain. The first thing I noticed when I entered the room was how clean it was. It was also very spacious, and the care taken with the details made me happy. I’m coming back to Rome next month and will most likely stay here again.

The room was roomy, spotless, and kept in lovely condition, with everything we needed to relax. What stood out even more was how warmly the team treated us from the minute we arrived. Everyone was cheerful, helpful, and genuinely professional. We had a fantastic stay at Mercure Roma Piazza Bologna, and we’ll remember it fondly. We’d absolutely come back!

The front desk staff were helpful, and that’s the only reason I’d give this place 3 out of 10. The AC didn’t work, the room itself was in pretty bad shape, and room service might as well have been nonexistent. For the money, this was one of the worst properties I’ve stayed at. The whole place felt inhospitable. One of my worst Accor stays, and I wouldn’t recommend it or return.
