The room was really hard to find because there were no signs at all. When I arrived, there was a strange smell and just one message telling me to leave my luggage there. After I came back later, the room smelled musty. I tried airing it out, but it didn’t help. I contacted the hotel and was told to “handle it with the agency I made the reservation from.” Opening the window let all the mosquitoes in because of the awful smell. I checked out and asked for a refund, then they blocked me. It was just awful. Respect yourself and stay away.

The place is on one of Rome’s noisiest streets, and in summer, with temperatures averaging 36 C, we were given a room without AC even though we’d paid for one. When I complained, he treated me like I was stupid and said there was another AC. That machine only blew warm air. They also refused to reimburse us or let us move to another hotel and pay back the difference. He said he’d come check it himself at 10 AM, but never showed up. They weren’t helpful at all. The hot water “works” after about 15 minutes, so you either waste a lot of water and time or shower in cold water. We were also forced to send our identification over WhatsApp, even though that’s illegal in the EU. This experience ruined our vacation. I’ve added part of the conversation where he ignores everything I say.

The room was a decent size and the location was good, but the place could use some care. It would’ve helped to have someone guide visitors because the entrance isn’t easy to spot.
