The owners were really friendly and gave us plenty of tips and instructions for getting around Rome. They even changed the language on our TV menu. It's about a 10-minute walk to Ottaviano subway station and the Vatican. The hotel is small, but quite enjoyable.

There was no electricity at all: no lights, fridge, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, or kettle. The listing felt completely fictional, and the owner didn't return my money. Booking.com wouldn't help and didn't even show our review, saying they couldn't reach the owner. I have an insulin pump, and the insulin got too warm and leaked inside it. Luckily, the pump was under warranty. It was 37 degrees in Rome, and the owner didn't help us find another place to stay. All he said was, “I'm sorry, I'll try to fix it,” and so on. Be extra careful before booking this apartment!
