Minerva Relais

We had an awful, sleepless night. Our room was tiny, dark, and had no window, and we could hear every conversation from the lobby. In the morning, the noise and what we could see there kept us from sleeping too. The place is an apartment on the fourth floor of a residential building that's been turned into rooms, so I wouldn't call it a hotel. For this price, Rome has much better options. It really wasn't worth the money.

Right beside the pantheon, this hotel is very secure, and there's a lift to get to your floor. The rooms have a stylish look, and Valentina the concierge did a great job making our stay fantastic. They no longer serve breakfast, but each morning we got a fresh croissant, plus a posh coffee machine, melba toast, jams, and Nutella. There's also a fridge and air conditioning.

We were welcomed so warmly by all the staff we met, and the breakfast was awesome. The room was really comfortable, with robes and a plush bed, and even had its own little terrace, which was a nice surprise. The hotel modernized the rooms while keeping neat architectural touches like the old doors. Great streets are nearby, and the Pantheon is close too. Loved staying here!

The shower door was missing, so water sometimes got onto the bathroom floor. It didn't bother us much, though I can see it annoying other guests, and I hope they fix it. We still had a great time in Rome and would stay at the Minerva relais again. The hotel is very central, near the Pantheon, with moderate nightly prices. It's tucked into an inconspicuous house, so it can be a little hard to find. We stayed for a week and were happy with our spacious, clean room and the excellent daily room service while we were out exploring. The receptionist made us feel welcome, offered to book restaurants, and took time to help us despite having other guests to look after. Breakfast was very good, with sweet and savory choices and a bottle of fresh juice each day.
