Monastero dei Santi

The views are stunning, and I liked staying somewhere a little quieter, though you should know it's not in the middle of town. The hospitality and individuality make up for the fact that not everything is perfect. Service from both the staff and owner is outstanding. Monastero dei Santi is why I prefer small boutique hotels to big brands. I'll make it my go-to place in Rome.

After flying all night, I really appreciated the calm hotel and surroundings, even though it's outside the town center. The place is charming and very clean, with a large balcony overlooking Rome. Georgia, the manager, was amazing, kind, and attentive.

The staff made us feel at home, and I can't say enough about how helpful they were. They arranged taxis, brought extra towels, answered questions about the city with pictures and marked maps, and replied quickly when we messaged about our tours. My room requests were all met, and the place was spotless. The manager took us to the rooftop, where we had a delicious variety of lunch and an amazing hilltop view of Rome. The rooms were spacious, gorgeous, and full of unique, high-quality furniture, with the highest of technology. A lot of thought went into the design and decor. From the moment we arrived, everyone was welcoming and devoted to making our stay comfortable. I never usually review places I stay, but this cute, warm, charming hotel made me want to. Thanks for making it feel like home for me and my family.

The hillside setting gives you a view across the whole city, and every room has a view. On my second stay, I had a room overlooking all of Rome, and took one of my attached photos from there with my camera and zoom lens. There's also a beautiful park two minutes away, with great views of the city and St. Peter's Basilica. St. Peter's Square is a 10 min cab ride. The owner bought the property a few years ago and personally rebuilt it and all the rooms. He did a great job with the design, including a rooftop where breakfast is served daily. The rooms are spectacular, the views breathtaking, and the staff super kind and helpful. The food is excellent too, including made-to-order gelato. It's a true hidden gem in Rome.
