Monti Apartments - My Extra Home

We spent most of our time on the exterior rooftop balcony, and the apartment had a decent amount of space. The kitchen had everything we needed, and I appreciated the extra towels, in-unit washer/dryer, and elevator. The location was good, though I can't say how near public transport was since we walked or called Ubers. The bedrooms were too small to open luggage, and there was nowhere to put or hang clothes. With five of us, the living room was cramped, so we kept moving chairs between it and the dining table. The elevator mattered a lot because we were on the top floor with a toddler and two grandparents. It was often unavailable, or its doors had been left open, so my husband or I had to find it, close the doors, and wait for it to come up or down. We could manage stairs ourselves, but not with luggage and the rest of the family. The plumbing made very loud noises day and night, often waking me or my toddler. Showers never had warm water for more than five minutes. We were charged a late check-in fee after our flights were delayed and we couldn't find transport in time. We arrived just after the check-in window, which we hadn't known about, and had to pay extra even though we had received an email explaining how to check in when nobody would be there. It was a good experience overall, but I personally wouldn't stay again.

The apartment was stocked with all the appliances you might need, though we couldn't find any extra toilet paper. And the location was perfect, close to everything.

Traveling with kids, we were glad to have a washing machine in the apartment. There was plenty of space, and it was well equipped, so it made a comfortable base for us. The beds could have been more comfortable, but we had a great stay at Monti Apartments - My Extra Home. It's right in the heart of Rome, within walking distance of major sights, restaurants, and public transport. Check-in was smooth, and the staff were helpful and quick to respond. I'd recommend it to families who want a convenient, well-located place.

The front desk lady was very accommodating, and the A/C worked great. We stayed three nights before a cruise and couldn't have been happier. The Coliseum, Forum, and Trevi Fountain were easy to reach on foot, as was everything else we wanted to see. There are loads of great local restaurants within a block of the front door.
