My Trevi Rooms 88

Magdalena made this an incredible memory for us. Before we arrived, I mentioned it was my girlfriend's birthday and asked if I could pay for a bottle of champagne in the room. She said she'd take care of it, then had champagne, chocolates and decorations waiting when we got there. She wouldn't accept any money. She's such a warm, lovely person. The place was quiet and had everything we needed, since we weren't planning to spend much time in the room. We walked all across the city from there. It was the highlight of our two weeks in Europe across three countries, even though it's taken us a year to write this. We'll stay here again next time we're in magnificent Rome. Thank you so much, Magdalena!

The manager arranged for us to move to hotel Azzura, which was the good part. The location here is perfect, only two minutes from Fontana Di Trevi. But there was dampness in the room, and the water was so cold we couldn't bathe. We called the hotel manager to tell her, but she didn't answer.

The neighbors were really noisy. For one night, though, it wasn't too bad.

The host was consistently helpful from a distance, and the location is excellent, just a 3-4 minute walk from the Trevi Fountain. Still, the beds were poor. One had sagged so badly that I woke up with back pain. The toilet and bathroom were out in the hallway rather than in the room, and getting to them meant passing through other rooms. Apart from those issues, I thought it was good value for money.
