Naman Hotellerie Monti

We could walk to all our destinations, so we never needed public transit. My main problem was finding the hotel: there was no sign outside, and the Google photo showed the building across the street. Otherwise, it was a good stay.

We had a standard room overlooking the courtyard, with a little balcony. There are just six rooms, and the staff are super nice. The location is fantastic, everything was clean, and the room was big enough. The bathroom was especially spacious and lovely. The coffee from the machine was decent, too.

I can only give one star because zero isn't an option. I booked at a special deal, then they cancelled my room just three hours before I was due to arrive, claiming my credit card had been declined. I tried four or five times with different cards. I was left with nowhere to stay and had to find something at the last minute for much more money. Looking at the other reviews, it seems this happens often. I can't believe hotels are allowed to operate this way.

Monti was a great base for exploring, with many attractions just a short walk away. The rooms were spotless and beautifully designed, and felt both comfortable and elegant. The staff were attentive and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile, and their excellent English made everything easy. I had an amazing stay and would absolutely recommend this hotel in Rome. I'll definitely be back.
