Navona Central Suites

The staff were brilliant, really friendly and helpful, and breakfast was plentiful and delivered to our room at the time we asked for each morning. My wife and I stayed five nights in this great little find. The suite had a large comfortable bed, a big spa bath, and a steam room, just what we needed after days exploring Rome. There was also a great coffee machine. Everything is walkable from this perfectly placed spot, with loads of bars and restaurants nearby. We'd definitely return.

The front desk team, Alicia, Ida, and Federica, were incredibly patient and helpful. They speak fluent English, gave us great recommendations and detailed maps, and arranged taxis even at very early or late hours. The room was spacious, cozy, and beautifully decorated, with a large window, a lavish frescoed ceiling and chandelier, heated bathroom tiles, and an antique armoire and chest. The coffee machine was handy, but kept randomly refusing to work. We could choose breakfast items, which was nice, though the quality varied. Some sandwiches were toasted, others weren't, and portions could be smaller. Breakfast could also be brought to the room. The location was near many central Rome sights, and the building felt very safe. We used a web link to open the entrance and second-floor doors, and always felt secure. Daily housekeeping supplies were useful: fresh towels, coffee pods, utensils, bottled water, toilet paper, and soap. But cleaning times were unpredictable, anywhere from 11 AM to 2 PM. We sometimes returned while staff were still cleaning and couldn't comfortably use our room in private, so toward the end we declined cleaning on some days. Water pressure in the shower sauna was very low from the start, barely more than a trickle. Staff said they'd made changes, but we noticed no improvement and told them so. Getting ready in the morning took much longer, and the tub was impossible to use because it would take so long to fill. That was especially disappointing on our honeymoon. The shower alarm also went off unexpectedly one morning, and the loud siren kept shrieking for a few hours until staff arrived at 8 AM. Alicia quickly helped us fix it. Our king suite with sauna was less than a meter from the front door and desk. We often heard people chatting and other guests coming and going very early, even though the room was described as “sound proof”. Outside noise might bother some people, though it wasn't a major issue for us since we brought a noise machine. The Wi-Fi kept flickering on and off, which wasn't a big deal for us, but could be a problem without a data plan. The staff were very friendly, but several smaller issues brought down the stay. Since this was the longest part of our Italy trip, it was somewhat of a letdown compared with the online descriptions. Still, our experience wasn't as bad as some other guests have described.

My wife, daughter, and mother-in-law spent a week here and absolutely loved it. The staff were lovely, and everything they wanted to see was an easy walk away. Setting up an airport transfer with the property was simple too.

Breakfast was outstanding, with fresh juice, fruit, croissants, and a coffee machine in the room. The room itself was lovely, and ours even had a steam bath. Next time we'll book the room with a sauna. This is one of the best hotels I've stayed in, and I can't think of anything bad to say. I'd recommend it without hesitation!
