Navona Stay

We had an easy, worry-free stay at Navona Stay. Staff were supportive, accommodating, and helpful, and the contactless check-in went smoothly. Our clean, pleasant room was in an ideal location for reaching all the attractions on foot, with plenty of places to eat nearby.

The location really is great, and there are choices and access right by the front door. There’s a pharmacy across the road too. I arrived late, and the kind staff waited for me. Did I mention the location? It’s great.

The rooms are compact but well laid out, with strong air conditioning that we really appreciated. The staff were all very kind and helpful. Just be aware that it’s more like rented rooms than a full hotel, and you’ll be fine with that in mind. We were happy with our stay and would return for the location alone. You can’t beat it.

It’s hard to find this place because there’s no street sign. The location itself is fantastic, just behind Piazza navona and close to the classic Roman sights, though the Colosseum is a bit of a hike. We were told it was relatively accessible for disabled guests, but it isn’t. It’s awkward even for people without mobility issues: you have to carry your luggage up 12 stairs to reach an extremely small elevator, which goes to the front desk. It fits one person and one large suitcase, so a big group could spend most of the morning taking people and bags up one at a time. The room was the strangest I’ve stayed in over the last 60 years. Its spa or jacuzzi was bigger than the living area, and there were no closets or drawers for clothes. There was also a sauna, which felt odd.
