Breakfast was at a café about 80 meters away: a hot drink, juice, croissant, and either sweet or savory canapés. Magic Suite has no staff on site, but self check-in and entry codes made coming and going secure. There’s reasonably priced parking in a nearby covered lot. The themed rooms have jacuzzis and saunas, with some really distinctive details.
We booked the Suite with Smartbox and liked the forest-themed decor. The sauna was nice, and the large whirlpool tub had a shower option, which suited the room. The location was inconvenient and rather hidden, though, and the room felt very humid. There was also a strong musty smell that stayed even with the windows open.
Really comfortable, very nice room, but that disco light started driving me crazy after a few hours.
We first tried this with Smartbox and are already keen to come back. The bedroom looks just like the photos, maybe even better, and the mirror above the bed, which isn't shown on the website, is a real treat. It makes you want to stay in the tub. We ended with a generous, satisfying breakfast at a nearby café, and the location made it easy to reach the very close historic center. Parking was convenient in the white spaces outside or nearby. Cleanliness could have been better. A shelf for clothes or luggage, a somewhat bigger bin, and a broom for keeping the room tidy during the stay would have helped. We also would have appreciated even a very inexpensive welcome kit. Still, we didn't want to leave.
