You can reach everything you need to see within a 30-minute walk, and there’s a taxi rank at the end of the street, handy for the airport. The area is quiet at night, with some nice little shops and higher-end shops on the same street. Our room and bathroom were clean, with good heating, and the staff were friendly. Great location.

I’ve reread the reviews and honestly wonder if we stayed at the same hotel, or if it’s me. Look at the pictures we took during our stay on Oct 8. The website photos look like they must be from 20 years ago. The bathroom was gross. There were hairs on the floor, and spider webs and black mold everywhere in the shower. I think this is a serious health hazard, and people with asthma could die from exposure. The hotel should be shut down immediately. The electric kettle in our room had solidified milk inside. We only found it after making two cups of tea. We got a replacement, but checked it first and found all kinds of gunk inside. We even sent the staff a video. Just thinking about it makes me want to throw up again. We told the staff right away how appalling the condition was. They responded quickly and apologized. They offered free breakfast, then gave us the choice of changing rooms or getting a full refund to move to another hotel. Since we couldn’t find another affordable hotel that late, we had to take the second option and switch rooms on the second night. The new room was slightly better, with less mold and dust. Still, we feel cheated. The place was nowhere near what the website photos showed, or what those old or fake reviews on Google and Tripadvisor described. If we’d known how horrific the condition was, I wouldn’t have stayed even for free. I think we had every right to ask for at least our first night to be refunded, but of course they refused. Ahhhhh :(

At night it gets noisy, so bring earplugs. The Wi-Fi was poor, though the location is great, close to the taxi stand, Piazza Navona, and Campo d Fiori.

There’s a taxi stop just 30 meters from the hotel, plus plenty of cafés and restaurants nearby. Most of the iconic sights are walkable, with the furthest around 2 km away. Piazza Navona is only a few meters off, and Adrians Templo, the Pantheon, and Vatican City are also close.
