Sightseeing was easy from Otium Maecenatis Apartments, since both Roma Termini and the Colosseum were less than a 10-minute walk away. Valerio contacted me on WhatsApp the day before we arrived to arrange everything. Our train was 15 minutes early, but she was there to give us the keys and show us how things worked. We were also able to leave our bags before check-in and go to lunch. She explained the air conditioning, keys, and other essentials carefully, and stayed attentive throughout. The apartment felt a little cramped for four adults, though that was the advertised capacity. The kitchen was tiny but well equipped, and the sleeping setup was one double bed plus two folding beds, which might not suit every group.

Our host was absolutely lovely, and the apartment itself was beautiful. It’s close to two train stations and a grocery store. Best place to stay in Roma!

The room was fine for the several nights we stayed. It didn’t quite match the Airbnb photos, and there were a few small things broken in the bathroom.
