Poesis Experience Hotel

The location is great and quiet, and we had a balcony in our room. The rooftop view is awesome, and breakfast up there was great too. The catch is that only two coffees per person are included. I usually need three or four to wake up, so having to pay for more was a bit much. That glass toilet door is annoying, too. If you turn the light on in the middle of the night, you’ll wake your better half.

The breakfast was one of the best parts, with plenty of high-quality options to start the day. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. We had a wonderful family vacation here. Everything was excellent from beginning to end, and I’d definitely recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Rome.

Kasey was extremely friendly and professional, and made our stay much easier. The hotel has a nice boutique charm and a convenient location for exploring Rome, but I can’t really rate it as a true four-star property. I’ve stayed in Rome many times and unfortunately wouldn’t choose to come back. Our room, or suite, was spacious, though the bathroom felt quite small beside it and wasn’t as clean as I expected. I found hair from a previous guest. We got just one complimentary bottle of water on the first night, and were charged for extra bottles after that, which seemed unusual. Basic things like toilet paper and other amenities weren’t replenished unless we asked multiple times. All communication is through WhatsApp. That can be convenient, but it also feels impersonal. There’s no restaurant, just rooftop breakfast, with a nice view but limited service. It’s a good place in some ways, but it doesn’t meet four-star standards.

The small size is part of the charm here. There are only 8 rooms, so it never felt crowded and the service and amenities felt personal. The team gave exceptional service, whoever we spoke with. Our cozy room had A/C and a closet, which was a big plus since we stayed longer than 3 nights. Breakfast was included for us, with a big, delicious menu selection. The location was convenient too: 3 mins by bike or a 12 min walk from the Trevi Fountain and Pantheon, and 7 min on foot from the Spanish Steps, where there’s a big road lined with shopping stores. I actually liked that we weren’t right next to the famous sights, since we avoided some of the crowds and noise. Delightful experience. 11/10 would recommend. Just book it already 🥰
