I'm writing this review without having stayed there. We can't get into Italy from the USA right now, so we had to cancel our trip. The Permuda Holiday won't give us a full refund. If we'd simply cancelled under normal circumstances, I could understand, but COVID is preventing us from traveling and I expected better service. We'll reschedule our vacation, and we definitely won't stay here.

My reservation had been made a week ahead with a credit card, and I was traveling from abroad. On the way, I found out the people at this "B&B" had canceled it without telling me or giving a reason. I tried texting, WhatsApp, email, and calling several times, but got no answer. Then I called from my husband's number, which they didn't have on file, and someone picked up. The moment I started to explain, they hung up and blocked me. I suspect they took a longer reservation because the place had disappeared as available on the website, but that's only my guess. I had to find somewhere else to stay in Rome. People should know who they're dealing with. No comment.

We'd booked the apartment two weeks ahead. The day before we were due, we got an email saying the payment had been declined because the card was invalid. We entered another card, and it was accepted, but they canceled the reservation on the day it was booked.

I can't recommend them. After booking at a very good price for the May long weekend, I had my reservation canceled just days before arriving. The planned dates were April 30, 2023 - May 3, 2023. Booking told me they could only apologize and try to reach the owner about the exact issue, but the owner wasn't answering my calls or messages. Since I never got the accommodation, Booking won't let me leave a review there; reviews are only allowed after a stay is completed. I also tried WhatsApp using the number they provided. There was no reply at first, and then they blocked me. I should have looked them up online beforehand. From what I see now, this has happened before, and I suspect it may happen again. I hope others see this and think carefully before booking. This is about the Vatican Nice Apartments, 2 Via Premuda 2, Vaticano Prati, 00195 Rome, Italy. Best regards

We slept wonderfully in the fabulous bed. The apartment itself is lovely and fully equipped, with Wi-Fi, a bathroom, kitchen, and coffee maker, plus coffee and tea. It's about a 10-minute walk to the Vatican, and we barely needed public transport. Rome is easy to explore on foot, and the evening walk back from the city center takes around 40 minutes and is quite pleasant. The metro and buses are very close too if walking isn't your thing.
