Jubilee 3 Luxury Apartment in Rome Vatican

The dampness and musty odor kept bothering me throughout my stay, and it had a real effect on my time in Rome. The wardrobes, bedding and pillows all seemed to have taken on the moisture. Although the apartment had been renovated a year earlier and looked decent from outside, I can't recommend staying here based on my experience. The duvets were visibly stained and felt disgusting, with only a loose sheet between them. I complained and the stained sheet was changed, but the duvets were left as they were.

The whole apartment had a strong mildew smell, and the sheets and mattress were damp and yellowed. It was dark and damp downstairs in the basement level, and the place was the dirtiest I've ever stayed in. I had to leave early. Luckily, the landlord agreed to refund the rent for the following day.

The woman was lovely and helpful, offering suggestions for places to visit and affordable places to eat. The furnishings were cute, with the essentials provided, and the location was handy: Ottaviano metro station is within walking distance. Cleanliness could have been better, though, and since the apartment was converted from a basement space, it had a strong cellar smell and felt damp.

It's a semi-basement, and the first impression makes you think you'll be sleeping in a boiler room or warehouse. Inside, though, it's spotless and nicely decorated. A bus stop just 50 meters away connects to all the sights. The owner was very helpful, but it felt expensive for what you get.
