Real Village Roma

The site looks nice, but getting there without a car can be a hassle. If you get off at the bus stop Google Maps indicates when coming from the city center, there’s no pedestrian crossing over the highway. For a safe route, you have to ride to the last stop, wait for the bus to head back on its schedule, then get off on the campsite side. That adds 30-40 minutes. Our Booking.com description said Wi-Fi and an outdoor pool were included. On arrival, the host said the pool wouldn’t open until around May 25th. Wi-Fi wasn’t mentioned at all, and we couldn’t find a network when we checked.

Momo, the manager, made us feel at ease from the moment we arrived. He was warm and approachable, shared practical directions to the heart of Rome and gave us insider tips about places to go. It was clear he cared about making our visit a good one. Real Village Rome was comfortable, peaceful and well-kept. It felt like we had friends in the city, not just somewhere to sleep, and the staff made the stay memorable.

We found a nice online deal and enjoyed our stay in these clean, affordable bungalows near downtown Roma. Parking was free, with guards at night, and the staff were friendly and kind. Someone was there to hand us our keys even though we arrived at night, and communication was no problem. We didn’t have time to try the pool or wellness facilities.

The bungalow was small enough that my husband and I struggled to open our luggage, and there was no trash can. One of the lamps in our room was broken. We were too tired and lazy to ask staff to replace it. The staff were friendly, and there were facilities we could have used, but we were worn out and had a tight schedule. It’s quite far from the city center, so it suits people with a car, and parking is free. Overall, it was an okay stay for either a short or long visit.
