We were charged €68 for two fruit salads and three coffees at Caffe Sant'Anna on the next block. There were no prices on the menu, so they can charge whatever they like. It felt like a tourist trap, so steer clear. The hotel itself was a great little find and very good value. Our room was spotless, with lovely decor, a modern bathroom, a bath and a huge walk-in shower. There was also a modern kitchenette and a small walk-in wardrobe. The staff and owner were lovely. I’d happily stay again.

Being so close to St Peter's and the Vatican Museum was a real plus. The staff were very friendly, and the spotless room had a modern bathroom with a powerful shower and plenty of hot water. Fantastic hotel for the price. I’d definitely come back.

You can even see the Vatican dome from the rooftop lounge, and it's only about a five-minute walk away. This is a hidden gem for a Rome visit, with modern, updated, very clean rooms at a great price. The staff were exceptionally helpful.

Food options are just around the corner on Borgo Pio. Some were tourist traps, but we found a few lovely places. Our room was spacious and really nice, and we appreciated the convenience of being so close to St Peter's Square. We were in Rome for the Wednesday Papal Audience blessing for newlyweds, so we needed to get there early in our wedding clothes. It cost a bit more than other nearby options, but we enjoyed our stay.

The room had lots of space and a beautiful bathroom with a huge shower. It's a small hotel, so the elevator is small and the stairways feel a bit cramped, but the bedrooms seem to have been given more room. For touring Vatican City, the location is hard to beat, just steps from St Peter's. We got up at 6:40, left at 6:55, and were inside St Peter's when it opened at 7.
