Rent In Rome - Maison Corso

The room was okay, and it was cleaned every day. The woman at the desk was very kind. The furniture looked a little worn and was scattered around, and there was no counter space in the bathroom, so getting ready in front of a mirror was a struggle. Sleeping under what looked like a Roman tent was a bit odd. The location was handy for Piazza Popolo and the Leonardo Divinci museum. In the heat, we took taxis to the Vatican city and Colosseum, since walking would have been a long way. Fortunately, the taxi stand wasn't far.

The only problem during my stay was the broken lift. Climbing three floors could be difficult for some people. Apart from that, everything was great: a beautiful hotel in a perfect location, with nice, clean rooms, comfortable beds, and a friendly host.

We paid in full in advance for five days, but they cancelled our booking without telling us and didn't return the prepaid money. We called the police and found out they had sold our room to other guests for more. They claim they had the right to cancel without refund because we arrived after 8 pm. But we had told them our arrival time and even let them know our flight was delayed. They used that as a chance to sell the room again. Disgusting.

Everything felt so central, comfortable, and nice, and the host was excellent, kind, and helpful. The bed, linen, and pillows were all great quality. We loved it and want to come back. The only disappointment was that the Christmas lights on the street weren't switched on, so we'll come again a week later.
