Rental in Rome Vatican Walls Apartment

For anyone arriving by vehicle, be aware there's nowhere to stop, even briefly, to unload. I came by motorcycle and had to carry all my luggage quite a distance. The location itself is great, just a few minutes' walk from the Vatican museum and a metro station. The room and staff were also of a high standard. Breakfast was a croissant and coffee at a cafe a few minutes away, the usual Italian style. Big eaters may want to buy some extra food.

My parents' room had already been paid for when, nine days before their trip, the hotel sent an automatic email saying they couldn't host them. There was no alternative offered, just the news. They hadn't tried to contact us before that, so we got in touch ourselves. Communication was difficult: the woman on the phone spoke English using Google Translate and didn't understand what we said. She didn't apologize or try to help, even though arranging a solution was the property's responsibility. In the five days that followed, they couldn't find a replacement, though we found plenty. Thanks for making my parents' first flight trip so memorable.

The host provided excellent information on getting around Rome, and the metro station is a five-minute walk away. It's a perfect base for exploring the city.

Pretty comfortable place, quite good.
