Residenza Ave Roma

We felt right at home thanks to the staff, who were warm and helpful throughout, from the emails before we arrived to the airport transfers and breakfast. The hotel is small, cosy, and full of quirky charm, and our room had loads of character. The bathroom was compact but worked perfectly. It’s a fantastic location, within walking distance of the Vatican and surrounded by classic Roman charm. We absolutely loved staying here and highly recommend it.

Vera was especially kind and welcoming, looking after guests as if they were her own family. The hotel has a charming Victorian-era style, which made the stay feel special, and it’s very well placed for Rome’s main historical attractions. I had a wonderful time at Residence Ave and would definitely recommend it to friends. I’d love to return.

The owner made us feel like old friends, and this little boutique hotel has the feel of a small palace. It’s easy to find on the Tiber: we got off the bus in the Vatican and walked across the Umberto bridge in about ten minutes, if that. The Vatican is just across the river, and the Pantheon, thé Corso, and Trevi fountain are only a few minutes away. There are lots of amazing trattorias tucked into the surrounding side streets. Breakfast was good, with cereal, pastries, salami, cheese, bread, cream cheese, jams, honey, and a good coffee machine. The rooms had great AC, a godsend in Rome’s heat. I can’t fault the location and will definitely be back. Thanks for the hospitality!
