This reservation was a very disappointing experience. The hotel said our payment cards had been declined, but our bank confirmed that no payment attempts had been made. We supplied a second card, and there was still no charge attempt. The hotel’s communication was slow, unclear, and unhelpful, leaving us seriously unsure whether the reservation was valid and secure. With so little transparency or support, we had to cancel and book somewhere else at a higher price shortly before our trip. I’d advise future guests to be cautious and check their payment and reservation details carefully.

The area is completely perfect, with restaurants, cafes and bars, shopping, and public transportation to the coliseum right outside on via Edoardo Jenner. The apartment I’m staying in is gorgeous, and my host, Marika, is amazing. Absolutely amazing!

The apartment is okay, and it’s handy to have a nearby supermarket, a freezer, and a kitchen where you can cook. We made coffee and used the oven a lot. Getting back by public transport was the difficult part. Bus 31 can be very late, and 44 has the same problem. Tram 8 isn’t that reliable either, so you end up walking quite a long way. With another way to get around, the apartment is fine.

The owners were friendly and very kind, and gave me useful tips for getting around Rome. I stayed two nights and needed somewhere as central as possible, and this was perfect. The price was more than reasonable, and getting there was easy. Though small, the apartment felt welcoming, was clean, and had plenty of comforts. I hope I can come back soon.
