The staff were wonderfully friendly, service was great, and our room was kept spotless. The air conditioning worked really well and wasn’t blowing straight at the bed, so we could leave it on overnight without getting cold. We also had a free minibar stocked with plenty of things, which was handy, perhaps it was meant to make up for the room without a window. That room was the hardest part of our honeymoon stay. The listing and booking details didn’t make it clear there’d be no window, and as someone who’s a bit claustrophobic, I found that difficult. We managed to open a door within the door, and opening a window across the corridor let in some daylight, though people walking past kept peeking in. It was also pricey for a windowless room. At least there was no traffic noise, but we heard plenty from the corridor and next door. The room was cramped, too. The bed had oddly sharp metal legs and corners, and I caught my toes and scratched my legs on them several times. And although it’s described as a “bed and breakfast,” there wasn’t any breakfast. The location is fantastic, on a well-known street lined with all kinds of luxury shops and very near the Spanish Steps. If you’re going, watch Roman Vacation with Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn beforehand. Several movie scenes were filmed within a few minutes’ walk. There are loads of good restaurants nearby as well.

The staff were so kind and helpful, and the rooms, location, and price were all great. A couple of small things could’ve been better: I needed more toilet paper while I had a cold, and extra pillows would’ve helped. The shower also drained slowly. Still, the air conditioning worked perfectly. Thanks!

The stay was bad enough that we left a night early and moved to another hotel. The room had no window, and it felt worse than a prison cell. Service was awful: they ignored us and wouldn’t reply. I tried all day to reach the owner, but neither the owner nor staff seemed to care. They were happy to take our money and were so disrespectful. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, not even an enemy. BIG WARNING!

The location was perfect, with all of Rome’s main sights reachable on foot in half an hour. Our room was lovely, nicely finished, and roomy compared with a typical hotel room. Breakfast was adequate, and the staff treated us well.

The room and bathroom are spacious, and the decor is nicely done. There are no windows, which is the one drawback, though that does help keep out some of the noise from the very busy street. I’d recommend it.
