Roma Inn Hostel

The location was the best part for us, about two blocks from Termini Station. From Ciampino airport, you can get there by a 40 minute bus/shuttle ride. There's a great market in the station, where we ate breakfast every morning before taking public transport to that day's destination. We were six people and first contacted the Roma Inn about staying at their property near the Vatican. Luca promptly replied by email and offered us an apartment he owned near Termini for €22/per person per night. We paid a 1/3 deposit through PayPal and arranged an early check-in with him. The apartment itself wasn't much to speak of, but there were plenty of comfortable beds, hot water, air conditioning, free wifi, and a kitchenette. Luca recommended some of his favorite restaurants. We went to many of them and THOROUGHLY enjoyed them. He was easy to reach with questions, and his tips for getting around the city were spot on. If you need somewhere to rest after a long day of sightseeing and want to save money for those fantastic Italian meals, this place could work well. I'd go back without a doubt, though I'm more of a backpacking-type traveler who doesn't need much to be happy.
