When we booked for the end of January 2017, we later had to cancel well in advance because severe natural disasters hit our region, Abruzzo. We contacted the manager, who strongly urged us to book a new date in February and guaranteed the same comforts and features as the double room we'd booked. Then she texted to suggest another B&B in different parts of Rome, at a higher price, before confirming our original booking at the agreed price. When we arrived, she showed us a makeshift room with camp beds in a mocking Roman tone. We were told we had to get up at 8:00 the next morning and move out because the Filipino had to prepare breakfast for the other guests. Yes, our room was the B&B's bar. We were tired and didn't see much chance of getting anywhere, so we accepted. The bathroom we'd been given was actually used by all the guests eating breakfast. I hope I didn't pick up fungus or anything else from the bidet or shower. A wooden partition separated the bedroom and breakfast room from the kitchenette, but at night the hallway light and the voices of residents coming back from a wild night in Rome came through it. The only good thing was the polite Filipino, who understood how absurd the situation was and tried to make breakfast comfortable for us. For anyone traveling, always ask for confirmation, especially about discounted items. I paid the agreed amount and didn't get any discounts.

The owners were fantastic, really kind and helpful, and breakfast was great, with freshly baked croissants every morning. The room and bathroom were small but cozy and nice. Since it's a B&B, you can hear everything from the hallway and other rooms. If you want to sleep in during the morning, you won't be able to.

The place didn't look much like the photos, and I was disappointed, especially by the bathrooms. They were cold, the heating didn't work, and the shutter was broken. The color TV had such a poor signal that you couldn't watch it in the evening. Being near the road meant car noise at night, so sleeping was difficult. The metro is 500 meters away, but the area felt unsafe at night. The owner never showed up, and the room hadn't been cleaned. You had to ask for cleaning, and linens were changed every 3 days. Disappointing.

My friend and I stayed at the Roma property from March 17 to March 19. The room we'd chosen was welcoming, clean, and bright, but in the afternoon we got a phone call and, with no adequate notice, had to pack again to leave it. We had to move the night before and transfer at 10:00 a.m. the next day to somewhere we weren't sure about. We'd agreed to be picked up by car, but instead we had to walk a long way uphill. I'm not sure if there was a misunderstanding with your staff. From the agreed 10:00 a.m., we sat waiting on a concrete wall for other staff to bring the replacement room keys for a full ONE HOUR AND 15 MINUTES. That made us miss our 11:00 a.m. Saturday commitment and ruined our plans for the whole day. The apartment was up a steep staircase, which made carrying heavy suitcases difficult and painful for my friend because of her back problems. The Wi-Fi didn't work, and when the hot water malfunctioned, we couldn't wash after a day out. We also had to spend unexpected money on Sunday morning breakfast, even though it was included in the nice 100 euros we had paid when we arrived on Friday, trusting the people to keep their word.

The only good thing was the Filipino's assistance. He tried to make up for the property's shortcomings. To reach the place, you have to cross 600 m of busy road without a sidewalk, which is really dangerous. The room doesn't look like the photos at all. The shower has two tuffs to climb, and breakfast isn't included. Absurd.
