Roman Dreams

We were left out in the cold Roman night for about an hour and a half after one of our four keys actually broke in the front door. It took that long to find a number to call and get back inside. There’s no reception or front desk, and the place seemed to be a few sleeping rooms rented within an office building. That meant no privacy from other guests either, including the people next door yelling late into the night. The hallway smelled of smoke, the room had very few outlets and no trash can apart from the feminine waste bin, and the Wi-Fi was awful. This was a Roman nightmare, the worst of both worlds between a hotel and an airBnb. Absolutely don’t stay at Roman Dreams.

Sara took care of me throughout my three-day visit to Rome, and I’m very grateful for her help. The room was beautiful and spotlessly clean. The location is central, just steps from Castel Sant'Angelo, St. Peter's, and Piazza del Popolo, with excellent restaurants, pizzerias, and bars close by. I highly recommend it.

This is easy to reach by public transport and very well located. The accommodation is small, clean, cold, and barely equipped beyond the basics, much like a hotel room. It feels more like a hotel than an Airbnb, with little personal service and a cold manner from the first contact with the host. They charged a penalty for being a minute late, even though I’d explained from the start that my flight made arrival at the specified time impossible. One front desk employee was very friendly and ready to help at any time.
