This neighborhood is a great place to see Rome from. It’s quieter and less crowded than the most touristy parts, so you get a feel for everyday city life, while still being a short distance from the main sights. I’m Roman and stayed in the clean, simple, well-kept apartment with two friends from Turin. The friendly, slightly bizarre guy who gave us the keys had some good tips, even if I didn’t need them.

The small kitchen was useful, and the area itself is pleasant, with good restaurants and plenty of public transport nearby, including buses, trams, the metro, and taxis. The place felt a bit out of the way, though. Inside, it was damp and dusty, and the windows and shutters wouldn’t close properly. There’s no microwave.

Danilo, the owner, was kind, gave us useful information, and reserved a space for us in a nearby parking lot. It’s a basic apartment but fully equipped, conveniently located just minutes from Termini Station and the metro, with lots of traditional trattorias close by. Recommended.

Really awful! The floors were unstable, and we were on the fourth floor. There were ants on the walls, in the kitchen sink, and on the bed. The few kitchen cabinets and the stove knobs were all greasy and dirty. A terrible experience.

The owner was kind and helpful, and we had a better stay here than at home. It’s a clean, simple apartment in a lively, authentic neighborhood, and makes a great base for exploring the city. We’ll definitely be back!
