Roman Nights

We booked for March and paid upfront even though we didn’t have to. Then Covid 19 stopped us from traveling. We asked for a refund and were told no, and the hotel changed our dates to July. When it looked like we couldn’t make July either, we asked again for our money back and said we’d rebook once we could travel. Yesterday we were promised a refund, which was a huge relief since I’m out of work because of the virus and have two kids to feed. I intended to book with Roman nights again when things were back to normal. But today they refused the refund again, and now they’re ignoring my emails. We didn’t choose not to go, we couldn’t travel because of Covid 19. It feels unfair that we’ve been penalized for paying ahead when we didn’t have to. I tried repeatedly to speak politely and explained that we’d book again at our leisure, but they still won’t refund money that wasn’t due until arrival. The way they handled this was unprofessional and very disappointing. After this, I’m unlikely to stay at the hotel.

We got in late, but they had arranged self check-in, and leaving was just as easy. The staff were quick to help whenever we needed anything. The location worked brilliantly too, right by the terminal and a metro and bus stop, with Rome's center and the Trevi Fountain walkable and the Colosseum a little farther on. There's plenty along the avenue. A really lovely stay.
