Rome Orange Inn

I wouldn't recommend this place. The room was cold and very humid, and there was no air conditioner remote in it. When we asked to use the air conditioner to warm the room, we were told it wasn't available at that time of year. We stayed for three nights in a room in an apartment that was presented as a hotel, with the rooms separated from the rest. No one offered to change the towels or sheets over those three days.

The owner only mentioned close to check-in that payment had to be in cash. I asked to cancel within 24 hours of booking, before he had confirmed it, and told him directly more than once that we wouldn't be showing up. He still didn't cancel the reservation and marked us as a no-show, apparently to try to get paid anyway. He was completely uncooperative and the situation felt borderline fraudulent. Find somewhere else to stay.

This isn't a hotel. It's an apartment building, and someone's apartment has been divided into four separate bedrooms with paper-thin walls. I stayed for three nights and was told I wouldn't get fresh towels during my visit. After a short exchange, I did get new ones, but something that simple made me question the place's hygiene and cleanliness. There are better places with just as good a location. As a man, I felt okay outside at night, even with drunk homeless people stumbling around and sleeping on the pavement. But I wouldn't want my daughter, or any woman, walking here after 7 in the evening.

The staff were amazing, friendly, and helpful, and the rooms were spacious and very clean. The building also felt safe and quiet, with secure entry. Definitely recommend.
