Termini Station is the one real advantage here, since it’s so close. The lobby reeked of cigarettes, and the receptionist seemed odd. We were three people, but soon after we got into the room he insisted on coming in to check that there were only three of us.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and our room was comfortable and clean. It’s a well-placed hostel just a few minutes from Termini station, and worked perfectly for our short stay in Rome.

We only needed one night before catching a morning train, and I was glad we hadn’t booked longer. The room was clean, but the hotel itself felt old and poorly maintained. The train-friendly location is its main plus. The staff didn’t come across as welcoming. Before we checked in, our room door had been left open with the key inside. That made us uneasy, since someone could have entered and left something there, like a camera device.

For a night or two, it’s an OK option. We were three people and had a reasonably sized room, though the bathroom was tiny. The AC worked well in Italy’s scorching heat, and the little elevator worked like a charm. It was also useful that the hotel gate was manned around the clock. Breakfast choices are very limited, and you have to go to a cafe about 250 m away for it.
