The neighborhood felt safe and central. We were able to check in early, and a bellboy came down to help with our bags and show us to reception. For a place in the heart of Rome, the room was a decent size. It had an updated bathroom, plus robes and slippers.

You get clean bathrooms and fresh towels every day, and the location by the Spanish Steps is fantastic. The staff are friendly, helpful, and know a lot about Rome's sights. The rooms, though, need work. The bed is rock-hard, and the plastic-lined mattress and rough linens made it hot and uncomfortable. The AC only came on sporadically, not when we asked to cool the room. One shower head was broken and water pooled in the shower. There was no clothing storage beyond the closet, so we had to live out of our suitcases.

We spent six nights here and would gladly come back when we're in Rome. The Spanish Steps are right nearby, and the Metro is just a block away for the few times we needed to go farther than walking distance. Our room included breakfast at the restaurant across the street, where the food was well prepared and the server friendly. The rooms were very clean, and every staff member was welcoming and ready to help. It's convenient for getting around, and I'd definitely recommend it.

The room we chose was comfortable and had a lovely view of the Spanish Steps, right in the middle of the area. Breakfast came with plenty of choices, and the staff were kind and polite. I really enjoyed staying here and would recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful visit.
