The staff at Residenza San Calisto made my partner and me feel comfortable and looked after around the clock. They even lent us a luggage scale for free. When other guests got too loud around 1-2 AM and woke us before their early airport departure, the staff politely sorted it out, and we were able to fall asleep again. Everyone was friendly, approachable, and helpful. Our cosy room was beautiful and tidy, with fresh towels and cleaning every day. The bathroom was lovely too. It's more of a premium guesthouse, so the walls are thin and guests need to keep noise down for one another. Trastevere is a lovely urban area, packed with great restaurants, bakeries, and coffee shops, and close to everything we'd need as well as the tram and buses. Thanks to the team for making my first Rome trip so memorable and special. I'll definitely stay here again when I return.

Room 4 had very little natural light, and I found it annoying that I couldn't open the window or even the drapes. The shower pressure was so weak that rinsing soap from my hair was hard. The hallway noise also carried right into the room, and the front desk wasn't open 24 hours. Still, for an affordable place, I can't expect the linens and service of a 5-star hotel, so I'm giving it 5 stars. It's great value for money and the location is fantastic. The building has charming architecture and cute decor, hot water and WiFi worked reliably, and keypad entry meant no keys to carry. One suggestion for the staff: a water filter in the common area would be much appreciated. There's nowhere on the premises to buy bottled water, and the tap water tasted off, so fresh drinking water would have been great.

We stayed with our two young kids, and the room's bunk beds worked perfectly. It was spotless and comfortable, with everything we needed to relax after exploring the city. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and went out of their way to make us feel at home. Residenza San Calisto is a charming place in the heart of Rome, with eateries, cafes, and beautiful cathedrals just steps away. The location couldn't be better, and I'd happily recommend it to anyone visiting.

We had a wonderful stay in the One Bedroom Apartment with our adult child and would gladly use Hotel Residenza San Calisto as our home base again. The entrance is next to the main entrance, on the second floor, about 40 steps up. Italy's second floor is the American third. Communication was excellent: the instructions for entry, cleanings, payments, and checkout were very clear, and someone was always available on WhatsApp to answer our questions.

The front desk ladies were so nice and gave us lots of guidance during our trip. The rooms have a lot of charm, and there's an indoor patio that serves as a shared space. It's such a cute place to stay, about a 15-minute walk from downtown Rome, with plenty nearby too.
