The apartment itself was lovely, and we were only there as guests visiting friends who had booked it. But getting to the door was awful. There seemed to be weeks’ worth of smelly, uncollected garbage, with flies around it. I’d like to recommend the place, but it’s hard when the walk in nearly makes you gag.

Sant'Angelo Villa made for a fantastic stay, right in the heart of the Jewish Ghetto. Tatiana was a pleasure to deal with. She helped us coordinate locations and even met us for coffee before we left Rome.

The location was fantastic, with the Great Synagogue a 3-minute walk away and kosher restaurants just 2 minutes away. The apartment was spacious, and the bathroom was quite large. There were some drawbacks. The portable air conditioner was very noisy, which made me understand the little balls they left on our bed. Our room faced a restaurant courtyard, and the terrace cleanup after evening service was still quite loud. The room also no longer looked much like the website photos: no hardwood floor, just a rug, and the sheets on the bed were so-so. The bins by the building entrance weren’t emptied very often, and that needs prompt attention, especially in the current heatwave. Still, that location was fantastic.

The manager was very capable and went out of his way to make sure we had a wonderful stay. The apartment itself was magnificent, right in the heart of Rome, with everything within walking distance. I highly recommend it.
