Santa Nara B&B

The room was clean, but not clean enough, and the accommodation didn’t match the description or photos. The heating didn’t work. We also had trouble getting in: nobody was there when we arrived, we waited an hour for someone to come, and the owner didn’t answer our calls. The cleaning service was poor too. They didn’t clean properly, change the sheets or towels, or refill the shower gel, shampoo, or soap. They just left the towels hanging to dry in the shower.

The room and walls were dirty, and the sheets and towels were stained. I asked the host to replace them, but she said she wasn’t in Rome and could only do it the next morning. After I insisted, she directed me to their deposit and told me to change the sheets myself. Cheap shouldn’t mean dirty. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. We also had to wait 20 minutes during check-in just to get an answer by phone. I booked this B&B because it advertised free parking on the premises, but that was FALSE. There’s no parking there, free or paid. She sent us to street parking instead.

It’s just one apartment split into three rooms, not a hotel or B&B, and the place was neglected and dirty. The host’s service was shocking. Wi-Fi worked for about five minutes a day, and when I complained, she said, "I tried to fix it, but it is not my problem." The advertised 24/7 front desk didn’t exist. At 7:47PM, she refused to come help, saying it was too late and she wasn’t working. The towels smelled terrible. When the drain clogged, she blamed my foot, which wasn’t true. The next day they removed loads of hair from previous guests, so the bathroom clearly hadn’t been cleaned before we arrived. We were there for work and needed Wi-Fi, so we asked to check out early and get a refund. She threatened to call the police if we didn’t hand over the keys early. In the end, she took the keys back two days before our departure and still didn’t refund us. We had to find another place and pay twice for those two nights.

I arrived today and so far I can’t recommend it. The place is dirty, the AC doesn’t work, and we only got one towel for four days. I hope things improve from tomorrow, since the lady replies very quickly.
