Sonder Barberini

The location is great, and reception was very efficient, with lovely people. The apartment is extremely spacious, though the layout could be better since quite a bit of the space goes to waste. The bathrooms aren’t en suite, the furnishings are very basic, and there are no tables or chairs in the bedrooms. The bathrooms have a very lean design too. All in all, good value for the quality.

We had a roomy apartment that worked really well for our family of four during a six-week trip. The living area was great, and we could do laundry with the washing machine and drying racks. The location made getting around easy, with the metro, Trevi, the Spanish Steps, shops, restaurants, and grocery stores all nearby. Check-in was smooth, reception was super friendly, and the digital key in the app was handy. There was also a self-serve station to top up things like toilet paper and dishwasher tablets.

The apartment was very large and fairly clean, though there was mould in the shower. The shower and toilets worked well, and filtered water was available in the lobby. Trevi Fountain was an easy walk away, but getting to the other side of town, including the Vatican and Trastevere, or even the Spanish Steps, took longer.

The location was a great base for seeing Rome, and the apartment in the city center was gorgeous, clean, and well kept. We had everything we needed. The staff were attentive, professional, and knew their stuff. Thanks as well to our travel planner in the US, Runway Travel, led by Jessica Griscavage, for helping us find this wonderful place.
