If you're considering Trevi Rooms and Apartments, read the Booking app reviews carefully. I feel this was a scam. The person in charge has, in my view, a well worked network of ways to make guests miss check-in, either by not showing up or by claiming payment wasn't made from their card, or by saying they're late until the check-in window passes and then marking guests as no shows. In our case, my friend had a delayed flight. We both called him and Booking customer service, but he wouldn't let me in because I hadn't paid for the rental, even though my friend had. By the time she arrived, check-in time had passed, and he marked us as no shows. We politely asked to change the check-in time, but he refused and cancelled our non-refundable reservation. On every call, he yelled at me even after I said I'd be left on the street if he didn't show up. I wish I could give less than zero stars. I'm trying to report it as a scam on Booking. If anyone has had a similar experience, please leave a review so we can help protect others.

In a fast-moving city, this place felt like a calm oasis. The interior is very modern inside a 250-year-old building, with a well-equipped kitchen and bathrooms, comfortable beds, and an old-style elevator with modern technology. Mimma was a great host and ready to help in any way.

The only thing this apartment had going for it was the location. The service was poor, and the place was dirty: the kitchen was sticky and hadn't been cleaned properly, and the balcony was also unclean. Two of the three showers only had cold water, and one was blocked, so one working shower for eight people wasn't enough. We tried messaging and calling the host every day for four days and got no response. I wouldn't recommend it.

The owners were thoughtful and friendly, and the place had all the facilities we needed. Its location was great, with all the historic sites in Rome within walking distance.

The scenery outside was beautiful, and the place was clean and comfortable. It was easy to find, with public transport nearby, and the receptionist was helpful.
