St. Peter' Six Rooms & Suites

I only wish we’d spent the whole trip at St. Peter Six Rooms & Suites instead of just our last night. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, and the location couldn’t be better. The staff were so helpful and friendly, welcoming us when we arrived and again when we left. Next time, this is where I’m staying. Highly recommend!

The foldout bed could use a new mattress, but otherwise everything was excellent. It’s a beautiful hotel with courteous, friendly staff, and the Vatican City is only a few steps away. I’m already looking forward to returning with my brother and his family next year.

The breakfast was served at a nearby coffee place we already knew and planned to visit, and they took good care of us, so that arrangement worked well. Service at the B&B was friendly and helpful. Our room, 103, was beside the welcome desk and breakfast area, though, so light sleepers or anyone planning a daytime nap may want to ask for a room at the end of the short hall. The place has just six rooms in a larger building, but stepping inside from the busy Roman street felt like arriving in a quiet courtyard. It’s one flight up, with a tiny elevator. Our room and bathroom were both unusually spacious by European standards, and even roomy by American standards. Everything was clean and well maintained, with a mix of old and new decor. Having space to sort our bags before flying home after a long trip was a real help; our other hotels hadn’t had that room. We picked it for a short stay at the end of our Italian vacation because it’s near St. Peter’s on via della conciliazione. We’d stayed in the area before at a hotel that has since closed. It’s lovely being so close to the basilica, and Piazza Navona’s shopping and restaurants are an easy walk away.

Good value for a no-frills hotel in a fantastic spot. If you mainly need a place to shower, sleep, and leave your things while you’re out exploring all day, it does the job. They provided breakfast vouchers for a nice cafe about a five-minute walk away, and put water and drinks in the fridge each day.
