The jacuzzi was great for relaxing after walking around the city all day, and we found the bed comfortable, the room clean, and it smelled nice. Breakfast was good, but vegetarians and vegans don't have suitable choices: it's meat or entirely sweet food. The location was perfect for us, and we thought the stay was good value for our first holiday together. There were a few snags. The hairdryer started smoking the first time we used it, the water temperature kept fluctuating even on one setting, and we could hear everything despite the room supposedly being soundproof. There was also a €100 deposit that wasn't listed on the website when we booked. We were charged €6 per person per night for a “city view,” but our view was really of the building in front. The only “city view” was the french church at the top of the spanish steps, and we could only see it by leaning out of the window. Still, it was a great place for us to stay, with a few minor issues.

The room was clean and nicely presented, and the staff were polite. Even so, the overall atmosphere felt uncomfortable for us and a little seedy at times. The place seemed geared towards a very specific kind of stay, and that didn't suit us. We felt that as soon as we arrived: seeing adult items for sale at reception set the tone, and it wasn't what we expected or felt comfortable with. The concept may work for some people, but we didn't find it relaxing and wouldn't choose to stay again.

We had such a great time here. The jacuzzi, music, vibe, and roses were all amazing, and we loved unwinding in the jacuzzi after long days walking around Rome. The service was great too, including the cleaning and Wi-Fi. Everything was perfect for us 😍

We walked into the room and found a stripper pole and what looked like a disco ball above the bed. There were no proper windows. The tiny window looked onto barbed wire, with hardly any light coming through, like a keyhole. The room was very small, which wasn't itself a problem, but there was no space for clothes, somehow there was room for the pole. Nothing online had warned us that this was a sex hotel. We complained, but they didn't care. The staff were rude and said they'd had this problem with many others before. They offered no refund or help. We would've taken 50%, but they didn't offer that either. It felt like a money-grabbing, mis-sold hotel.

The suite made such a lovely impression, with a welcoming feel and details that made us want to linger and enjoy being there. We were delighted by how comfortable and elegant it was. Suite Sistina is definitely for the brave lovers ❤️ We’d recommend it a million times and would stay there again when we return to Rome.
